02B Transmission to ACU engine

Between ACU crankshaft and 02B Transmission there is a plate/ disk Item 22 in picture. Item 22 in picture not specified on any website. I am converting to manual transmission and I don't have this this disc/ plate; I'm trying to determine what it is, and if its necessary to have installed behind the flywheel. Looks like a cover for the rear main seal?? any help appreciated thank in advance
