All options considered, I would personally not have chosen to weld my pans in with TIG the way you welded yours in, but welding is a lot like choice of underwear and brand of shoes.. you do what's comfortable for you. So my irrelevant opinions aside, your TIG welding skills don't really suck, you are just on the learning curve and that's not a problem. I have made a lot of awful MIG and TIG welds over the years as I try different machines, techniques, and materials, but every bad weld teaches me how to be a better welder. So good job picking up and working at it, just keep working till you like what you see. I'd show you a few tips in person if I were close.

As far as the seam sealer goes, I'm glad you're seam sealing - lots of floor pan topics blow right on by seam sealing unfortunately! It is very important to seam seal top and bottom. I have read quite a few anecdotal experiences people have had with 1-part seam sealer shrinking and pulling away at the edges as it cures or dries, so I recommend keeping an eye on it to see how it acts once you lay it down. I chose the 3M line of 2-part adhesives and seam sealers but I'm not at the seam sealing part yet.

Black rat snake. On the bright side, you shouldn't have to worry about having mice building nests in the car anymore.

Ikr that's what I said. There was a pile of rats nest where they started to build up but I guess the snake got em which is kinda nice.

Also, I'm not bragging but, I did score a free retro sound radio

And thank you sir!

Looks like I'm not missing any more pieces for the chassis.

I'll be going to a vw event in 13 days. There will be 60ish people. Weekend long event.

The goal is to get the chassis completely done and possibly the engine running.

As you can see, the welds still look bad, and I haven't finished the pedal bracket yet.

For some reason my electrode is dulling really fast. Also I think I'm getting low on argon.

Hey, its structural at least!
