I cant seem to get the GB open on a 69. It acts like its locked but none of the keys seem to fit the lock.
Any thoughts on how to get it open non destructively?

The plastic replacement latch is a poor excuse in functionality. The knob on mine is gone. But I'm still using it.....

go in the trunk and remove the glove box and you can get to the lock nut and remove it.

It is only held on with a nut. Maybe spinning it loose. You may have to paint, worse case.
