Bumping this thread. Does anyone have a source for custom inserts today? I checked with small car performance, but they do not have the style I am looking for.
With my engine conversion, I repurposed the old EGR warning light in the lowermost right corner as my CEL. I was hoping to be able to find an insert that had the CEL logo in the lower right, and is blank in the lower left. (small car has one that has CEL the lower left and blank lower right, so opposite of what I am looking for). |

revolution337 -
I might have some unfinished ones with check engine in the lower right and blank in the lower left.
Send me a PM if still interested. |

Theirs is just a sticker over a new backer piece. I bet using a sharp blade you could carefully swap sides for the lower logo before applying the sticker, and I bet you'd not notice once it was assembled _________________ MegaSquirt resource - SpitfireEFI.com

IIRC you just remove the factory indicator panel and replace it. I did this 10 years ago with one from westyklaus and it still looks fresh.
I went in for a smog today with my non KEP conversion. With my bar sticker the tech was happy to see the CEL in the stock position and functioning as it should. Passed the emissions test with flying colors |

Thanks for posting pictures of the install. I guess it's obvious if you've taken the cluster apart before. But I understand how it would be a mystery if you've never done so. Pictures explain the process very well. |
