Well, there’s a voice we have not heard for a while!
I guess my point is that it’s going to be difficult to work on our car while I am in Puerto Rico.
Just trying to ease into the seemingly unavoidable panic when KGF takes a hiatus. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

Continuing with headlight wiring.
Realized I hadn’t put the seals on the signal lights:
In the interest of getting back on the road, I think I will just put back the signal light holders that were there and wait for a good set to come up for sale.
Reinstated a headlight dimmer switch — none was there when I got it:
Not sure what screws are used to attach it.
Wired up the front fuse box:
The instructions say the blue-white wire is to be attached to this fuse box but there is no such wire in the original wiring diagram. Hopefully it will become clear as the wiring progresses. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

The blue/white wire is there...look at the hi-res diagram linked here:

Given the orientation of your photo it looks like it would go on the top right. |

Too funny— I somehow missing it coming out the other side! Was only looking at the screw that has nothing on it.

Slow and steady and fun!
I do take extra care to check and recheck wires before I connect them so that I won’t be saddled with mystery connections when I am done.

Well original at least. Like you, I want to make it look like the day it was built, if it's doable. That is - except for the 62 dash which I love. I can't imagine how I could have found all the parts that were missing if I didn't have TheSamba resources. _________________ Marc

Yeah, our car has a lot of things. It was originally at a Hamburg dealership though. Just asking about something I know little about. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

Happy to help! You’re doing great on all of this.
Regarding the screw on your fuse block with nothing in it; I can’t tell if it’s present on your block but from the diagram there appears to be a bridge that’s supposed to connect those two terminals on the left. |

Yes, I checked on the bottom. It’s there.
Hope I remember where I left off when I get back. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

IIRC the screws that hold the high beam switch on are counter sunk flat head sheet metal screws, most of if not all the screws on low lights are flat heads not Phillips heads. _________________ It's not about the window, it's about the people.

If yours was Euro delivery then it came not only with different lenses but also headlight lamps and chrome ring. You’d have to get the whole package. They look cool. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Delivered to Raffay in Hamburg December 1958 according to the birth certificate.
Would love to make it actually look like that fact. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0
