Yes the Wright Brothers got the glory but I believe many guys were tinkering around the world those days. I think we would be surprised by the actual numbers... if we knew!

I'm going to throw the door wide open to the next guy on here to pick the next challenge.

On your marks... get set... GO!

Gibbs Gardens has 20 million daffodils. At least that’s what their sign says. I suppose I’ll take a drive up there this weekend if nobody beats me to it. I’ll probably do it anyway. It’s supposed to be nice Sunday. I hope there is somewhere to park for that epic shot.

Yes sir! I stuffed all of the wheels, tires, suspension, & brakes from the Ghiapet under it. The only Thing in the history of the world RAISED using parts pillaged from a Ghia. Laughing

I still don’t know if I like it as much as the Ghiapet though.

Whatever this was actually peaked about three days before I snagged this pic, it’s barely yellow anymore.

Yes, it was totaled by by a kid that backed into it last November. All of the suspension, brakes, wheels, & tires are now under this.

This was taken in mid July two years ago. It will be interesting to see what crops are in bloom now in your area. Some clover related crops are a month earlier here. When does cotton bloom?

Well, Gibbs Gardens was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. A washed out gravel entryway with no ornamental anything in sight. Everything they had is inside a giant greenhouse apparently. We didn’t pay and didn’t stay. We saw lots of little yellow flowering somethings in a number of fields but nowhere to pull over for a photo. So in desperation we saw this little shop with some flowering plants in front. Not a field by any means.

I don’t consider the challenge met but it’s always a fun day when I get to drive.

Thanks for the kind words.
I'm afraid it's a little late here in the southeast. All our blooms happened about a month ago. Hopefully someone further north will pick it up.

I'm gonna have to second the compliment on your Ghia. It is stunning!

Sadly here in the PNW. Our fields are not in bloom yet. I passed a field of clover that looks like it's about pop.
But someone hopefully will complete this latest challenge before that happens.

I vote to let this challenge live on another week.

I concur with letting it stick for the next week.

First time (in 6 years of being here) we've had no rapeseed or roadside flowers blooming...we just had snow a week ago, so everything is late...

Farmers are just starting to seed their cops now. We are still getting several degrees of frost every night.
