I'm with you -- I wasn't ready either. Havent cleaned up the garage to get the Bus in for the winter yet. ...because its only October. 
Solid 3-4" here today, wet and heavy. This was after I shoveled the driveway.

First snow here as well. I got a cover from Wolfsburg West to throw on when it rains or snows because my roof leaks and I'm tired of placing bowls inside to catch the water. The ladder is there because I was brushing the snow off.
