Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

As with a lot of the photos on here, I keep asking myself why? Why would anyone think this is necessary?

That front treatment is gopping, and the bumper brackets look like they'd bend if you hit a wasp at speed

This would be much more coherent if they'd've made the bed narrower, to align with the door/B-pillar.
I'd gladly drive it as-is, though, too.

Not sure what's worse, the vehicle or the video.

This car is powered by a Model A Ford engine and on a Model A chassis but the two seat "Cabin Speedster" coupe body he produced from a sectioned burned out VW beetle body turned out well. Would love to see a volksrod done something similar.

He wrote, "I got to thinking what would happen if I were to cut up a Beetle and put it back together as a speedster body. I got a Bug side-view print and scanned it in to the computer and started chopping away. I discovered that if you make one cut five inches back from the windshield and another 36 inches back further, that the top curves and arch would nearly match up when shoved back together... if you tweaked it enough."
