15x7 et 53
redrilled rear drums to 5x130... with ??" thick drop plate, 3mm of rear quarter panel clearance.. (low floor leaf spring rear suspention.. not dasher style)
25mm h&r 4x100 to 5x130 up front...
just perfect fit, poke so on.. and yep you feel the odd widths over bumps.. gotts think.. 30-40mm narower in back at min.. no adapters... add in narrow rear beam stock.. how doors slide open for room.. why dasher rear beams vs rabbit.. in the original design.. _________________ Click to view image |

Going to bring this one back from the dead. Lots of nice looking cars with phone dials here but not much mention of which size wheels were used and any mods that had to be done.
Im looking at a set of 15x6 with the ET52.3 and am wondering how theyll fit on my 64 bug. I think the rear will be fine.
The front might need some work though. I currently have a narrowed beam with drop spindles and disc brakes in the 5x130 Porsche pattern. I think theyll fit but I have a feeling I might need to run wheel spacers to push them out more (due to my narrowed beam) to regain some turning radius.
Any help on your setup and specs would be awesome. _________________ 1955 Beetle |
