I have the covers, and I have the cleats. I've seen the general location of where the cleats go, but was hoping for more detailed positioning. '72 military 181...would there be some dimples as markers under the layers of paint? All help is much appreciated. _________________ "I haven't seen one of those since I was shootin' at 'em!" |

There would have to be if the fenders are original to the car. It would have come with them and someone would have to have taken them off or ground them down during it's restoration. _________________ "Someday the world is gonna be populated by nothing but Volkswagens'" Corporal Klairvoy |

Here is a photo of your car in Germany before it was restored. You can see the mounts. _________________ "Someday the world is gonna be populated by nothing but Volkswagens'" Corporal Klairvoy |

That's awesome. Guess I'll gently poke around and see if I can find remnants of the locations. _________________ "I haven't seen one of those since I was shootin' at 'em!" |
