£1.249p per litre for the lowest grade 95 octane unleaded here in the UK which is around $6.50 a US gallon.
$7.12 US gallon for 98 octane super unleaded.
Both E5 fuel. |
Interesting that your "cheap" fuel is higher octane rating than our "high octane premium" fuel. I wonder if they are graded differently, and are actually roughly the same? |
Looks like our 95 RON is the same as US 87MON 91 pump gas. |
OK, thanks. That makes sense. _________________ nothing |

Not sure where no ethanol premium is at right now. I'll check tomorrow.I guess I don't bother looking since when I need it, I just pay it so I don't get pissed at the price. |
I’m still betting the spread against $3.50 by 4 July in your town. The winner gets a week in Albany. The loser two weeks in Albany |
If we're talking about non ethanol premium, it was at $3.55 today already. If we're talkin' 87 ethanol blend, well, I've already been to Albany. Might have to sweeten/sour the pot. |
87 ethanol blend - the low grade price stuff.
My condolences to your visit to Albany _________________ .ssS! |

Don’t forget to add in your Costco premium.
Anyway, in this part of the US we are ranging from 2.69 to 2.51 today depending on which county you’re in. _________________ Volkswagen!

Stuck at $2.80 around here, though a few miles North it is a dime cheaper, and a few miles South it is a quarter cheaper. Tourist traps have all the fun. _________________ nothing |

$2.75 at the station behind the house. Only $2.45 a mile down the road, $2.31 next door to it. The latter two are general sold out by days end.
Was a steady around $1.85 for past 3 years or so. Sure was nice. _________________ Always chasing Squirrel's.

I don’t know how or why but Costco was still 2.39 a couple days ago. Gas everywhere else is about 30 cents more and the ignorant masses are buying it. I don’t go anywhere else now

I just paid $1.39/liter for premium yesterday! If I have my math right that would be equivalent to $6.11/ US gallon. _________________ We had the stone age, the bronze age, the industrial age and now we are in the age of mass deception and mind control for corporate profit. (The mass media age) |

Gas prices fluctuate for a variety of reasons but mostly it seems to be whatever the traffic will bear. You get one or two dominant retailers and they set the price in a given area. Seasonal price hikes and holiday spikes also are to be expected.
Last week I heard another interesting reason for rising prices given. It seems there is a shortage of hazmat qualified truck drivers. Just in time for summer driving and recreational usage, boating, etc. |
