A real long time ago, I used a dwell meter / Tachometer when tuning my car. I've decided I need some type of tach to adjust my solex 32. Any recommendations, not to expensive? Thanks. |

I have a digital one in my kit that I bought years ago, it's branded Sears, who knows if it's even available anymore, but it's a handy dandy little meter in that it can measure DC voltage, resistance, and also is a dwell/tach.
May it last forever _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

My only complaint is I miss the old time analog meter swinging side to side ..... but hey! Embrace the modern World of digital Right?

Yes, but it will do strange things to your eyes trying to test the turn signal wires with a digital voltmeter.

I bought mine at Sears about 20 years ago. I guess they still sell them. _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |

My first one was a heathkit "build it yourself" meter.
It was SO EXCITING to have a modern meter to adjust points and help make accurate adjustments.

I built a Heathkit shortwave radio receiver when I was a teenager. It was a good way to learn about electronics. _________________ Ghia Owner Emeritus |

I have/use one of these. Does dwell, tach, volts, amps, resistance, and temperature.

I am looking for a Tach/Dwell meter. I currently have a OTC Stinger 3514 but the tachometer to VERY unstable. Is the Actron CP 7677 tachometer stable? At idle it ranges hundreds of rpm. _________________ 72 forever project Bug
