Where is the OBD2 port located on a 2000 Eurovan? I looked hard

Hi,

I just went to look at a 2000. Battery was dead and the little Prius battery I brought along to tickle it would turn it over but not fast enough to catch.

Nonetheless I wanted to pull out any stored codes... I could not find the OBD2 port. I looked next to/around the fuse box, next to the gas pedal up in the center console, under the hood next to the battery... no dice. Siri was no help.

Where is it? Why does VW have to make every little thing so effing hard?

Look under the steering wheel towards the left. That black plastic cover in back of the steering wheel houses it underneath. It's like a violet color. It's very easy to access, unlike most that are under the dash.
