Just got my 73 back running today and I am having an odd brake circuit warning light operation. I read the Captains explanation (which is great), but it doesn't explain my issue.

When I turn the ignition on, the brake warning light turns on as it should for a bulb check. The generator light also turns on as expected. Then when I start the car, the generator light turns off, but the brake warning light stays on. It remains on indefinitely except when I push the brake pedal - it turns off for as long as I have the brake pedal pushed, and then it turns back on when I take my foot off of the brakes.

Has anyone ever had an issue like that or have any idea of what might be causing the issue?

Simple fix. The warning light is defective. Replace it.

Ok I figured out the issue, was operator error!!

Turns out I had the wires swapped on terminals K and 61 on the warning light (dang small terminal numbers...) . Landed the wires properly and the light works perfectly. Still chasing through the wiring but so far that's my only blunder.
