Looking at pic does anyone know the purpose of this hole? I’m pretty sure it is supposed to be plugged. Guessing the plug fell out or was blown out.
Thank you!

It is supposed to be an orifice.
Bottom hole is the inlet.
Top hole is the outlet.

Hmmmm... The plot thickens... On mine, the bottom hole is the inlet from the check valve/backflow jet in the bottom of the bowl, and the sides are the outlet to each squirter. If the top flowed back to the bowl, very little would ever come out of the squirters on mine.

Some have a very small hole there to allow vapor to escape, but the hole is so small it may virtually dissapear.
