Any type of wheel is fine. Just looking to try to see a set of example 185 50 15 on the front and back. Everything I see everybody’s got a larger rear tire and a smaller front tire. If anybody’s got photos of it on a lowered Bug with a swing axle... even better.

Thanks so much!!

Thank you Hopkin!!! That’s exactly what I was looking for. I have 185 on the front of my bug with 205 in the rear. Wanted to match the fronts and run 185 all around. Knew it wasn’t a huge difference in size but still wanted to get a visual. You are the best!!!

I have a '59 in the planning stage. Please share your suspension setup - dropped spindles, drums or disks, narrowed beam, rear drop, etc.

If I can fit 175/65s (or wider) on Vintage 190s with 2.5" dropped spindles and a stock beam I think I'll be a happy camper. Being able to do it with disks would be icing on the cake.

PM sent with details.....
In short, with my particular set up, I didn't like dropped spindles. They didn't work well for the rest of my suspension to give me what I was after.

Beautiful! Thinking of a similar setup for my '65, same wheels (if I can find them). With the Vintage 190's (which I suppose have thicker mounting flanges), what size lug bolts or nuts/studs did you use?
