The air boxes for my 67 weren't too bad. A little surface rust inside. I had them blasted and powder-coated. They look great.
What doesn't look great is the plastic parts that go inside. They have warped and just don't fit well. There were no screens so I made my own.
Got a little strong with the little M4s on the vent pivots and broke one. Had to drill that out, tap the hole and replace the screw with an M4 from Ace. No shoulder but should still work.
One thing I don't like about powder-coat is the thickness. Had to get out the dremel and needle files.
For the seals I'm trying weather-stripping. It is very soft and should work but I'm going to look for something flatter that I don't have to cut and paste.

For those seals I used pick up truck cap seal (self stick kind). Worked very well on my 65, as they are nice and soft, and conform to the shapes real nice. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Thanks Bob. This looks like the stuff Steve talks about in his thread. Has a consistency like memory-foam.

Yup, I tried that out on my T-34 first, then on my Notch after the Colorado Invasion. Worked very well, and a roll gives you multiple tries to get it right for cheap. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
