All,
I’ve had my A&E Catalina 2500 awning for years and its served me without fail. My only complaints have been it’s mounting brackets and the aging end caps. I wanted to let those using this awning that Dometic still has end caps and various other replacement parts available for sale. Purchase is available via calling the Dometic customer service line.
As far as the mounting brackets, I took a shot on the stainless GoWesty offerings in hopes that they may work and I’m pleased that they did. Although these brackets are primarily for the Fiamma 45s awning, they worked perfectly on my Catalina. The upper mounting lip used for the Fiamma Awning simply sits above the Catalina’s curved edge. I used the predrilled holes in the brackets and simply drilled new holes in my awnings case. I went with three brackets and each included the proper hardware for the conversion.

I got replacement end caps for my aging Transawn 2000 from this place:

I believe they are the same as the Catalina as well. I'm also using the standard GW brackets with good results. |

Me too.
Looks like your cover may be cut as crooked as mine. Thank you UAW.
The link worked for me... |

All,
The end caps for the Catalina 2500 are different from the Trans-Awn 2000. I own both. The Catalina is one piece and the the Trans-Awn has two pieces. The parts list for the Catalina 2500 can be found through the link below.
https://www.scamptrailers.com/images/pdfs/Dometic_Catalina_2500_PartsList.pdf
I simply contacted Dometic via their sales phone number and ordered the parts. The contact link is below.

Be prepared that they may or may not have all the parts you require due to the age of the awnings. When I placed my order both end caps were available as well as the plastic clips to attach the awning legs to the van body. Prices were reasonable and the sales agent was helpful.
Good luck |

Bumping to say that I just got off the phone with Dometic. They no longer stock the Van Adapter Kit (930035) for this awning.
I just bought a van that came with a 2500, but it was missing 1 mount and another is missing some pieces. An Internet search for retailers that carry Dometic parts has come up empty.
I'd like to avoid drilling, so I am considering looking into having the missing parts custom built by using the intact mount as a template. |
