That is no where near a qt on the floor.
You would have a small stream not an oily spot.

only put 12 oz or so in, not a quart. again, stopped once I noticed how fast it was leaking. thanks everyone.

If I read this all correctly, the OP's decided to have it towed to the shop where the work was done.

Good decision, better safe than sorry, my opinion.

It’s been there for two weeks or so now. They said it’s leaking from multiple places — both transmission itself and brand new hoses they installed. Moving really slow, partly because they’re also addressing other post-repair issues like coolant leaks, but hopefully next week I can actually drive this thing again (we’re nearing month 7) Confused

Finally get my van back tomorrow. The transmission was leaking from the O-ring between the diff/trans, connection to oil cooler, and two other internal seals (fluid was coming out of weep hole).

Transmission got pulled twice. Shocked
