I have a hole under a battery tray on my project car. I was going to lay down some fiberglas cloth to seal it off from weather and then paint the area. However in researching online it seems you are not supposed to put it directly on metal. The tips seemed to indicate the metal should be primed with epoxy primer first.
I can't find any around town, so I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this and can give me the straight scoop. There was so much opinion-related chatter that I'm not confident, and it's going to clearly be expensive to source now and it will tick me off it that turns out to be wrong.
Thanks in advance,

Depending on the size, why not weld it close? or even hire someone to do this for you. Fiberglassing a hole is a temporary patch so why go through all that work? _________________ My other ride is a Zildjian |
