Just picked up this Flat 4 Roof Rack for my 60 rag.

2 decrepit slats were left. Before I bought it ($200) I checked and saw that CBPerformance has the flat4 brand replacement slats. Went to buy them finding out they have a total stock of 4 Sad

So I looked into getting them from foreign concepts ($119), but wanted to try my hand at it first.

So picked up some alexandria moulding 1-3/8 x 1/4 pine, cut them to roughly 34", setup a routing table and went to town. I think it turned out pretty nice.

I will probably stain and seal one day.

Nice work. I recommend a good polyurethane (2 coats) on each board while loose. You won't want to go a day outside with them naked.

Teak oil or spar varnish. It's what is used on boats.

Spar Varnish but you will have to take them off and coat every bit of them so they will be fully protected.

Should of made them with teak, and then put a finish on them. Other than that looks good

If you use linseed oil be sure to get boiled linseed oil, the raw stuff never dries.

^^^^ This works good.
I used it to seal a patio table made from a tree trunk a few years ago.
Last time I saw the table. It still had a semi-glossy finish to it. We get allot of rain here and the Boiled Linseed oil protects well against the elements.

I was able to pick up some new oak pieces from Homedepot in the wood trim section that fit perfectly. They came presealed but the coating is weak. So they needed to be redone.
