Is there a good diagram showing each heating tin for a type 4 engine? I have a 1976 Bay missing the left and right belly tins. Also, any suggestion on where to buy or find them.

I had good luck getting those parts from Busted Bus (bustedbus.com). They have parts diagrams on their site. Here's a link for the engine tin (it sounds like you need items 20 and 21):

Most of the tins are primarily for cooling the engine and not heating anything. They are there to keep your air cooled engine from suffering a melt down or other heat related problem and are not there to provide creature comfort.

^^^^

Even if you just make up some bent tin pieces and screw em in for now, you will be saving your motor from premature destruction due to improper cooling air flow, and excessive road heat cooking the bottom of the jugs.
