I'm trying to put some more aggressive tires on the back of my project baja. The rims that are on there are 4x130, 15x6inch... I think. what's on there now is a 195 radial, don't remember height, but it's pretty stock. I'm wanting to go a bit taller, but certainly more aggressive.
I'm not quite ready yet to go for super wide and meaty tires... just mild off road, and make it LOOK like I'm insane...
Thanks in advance. |

.............and.... I'm looking for some used 4x130 5 spokers that I can sand blast and repaint. I'm not a fan of the white/black/chrome, but I like the look of the wheels... so, I'm being patient and looking around... |

How about 215/75-15's on the back? Will fit on 6" rims, not too tall (27.6"), but definitely bigger, and with a more offroad type tread- I'm a fan of BF Goodrich All Terrain TA's, having run them on and off on various Toyota trucks over a 35 or so year period, they'll certainly look the part, and if even more aggressive is the goal there's Mud Terrains in that size as well! If the AT or MT TA's aren't your cup of tea I'm sure there's lots of other offroad tires in that size.
235/75-15's (28.9" tall) are available as well, but with a smaller engine you might start to feel your gearing at that point, especially offroad. Al _________________ On a lifelong mission to prove (much to my wife's dismay) that Immaturity is Forever!! |
