I made a design for a vent window clip to prevent the vent window from flipping when driving at highway speed.

I cut it from acrylic on my laser but I made a version fro 3D printing that is available on thingiverse.

My fav design so far from those I've seen. I like that it is flat. Nice!

Nice! You should label the two positions as follows:

Position A - Vectors injured bees and hornets into your chest.
Position B - Bounces them across the van at your wife!!

I notice that newer Vans have a vent window rotation limiter on them.

That wide open vent isn't possible.

My 89 has the vent opening limit pin. I just removed it.

You do know that instead of making some special vent window stay device, you can tighten the screw on the pivot arm and it will stay where you leave it.

I tried tightening stuff. Which screw are you referring to?

The adjustment screw is way up in the door below the lower vent pivot.

It is more of an adjustment by feel rather than having a clear visual.

I made a thread about it on my 86.

I feel your pain. I was pretty successful in tightening the Drivers Side screw with the needle nose Visegrips trick but less so with the Passenger side. Could be a wear pattern on the pivot between the two , or there is more lube and less rust on the passenger side, allowing a bit more freedom in the 'Wind' as it were, to move back to the close position once you're going fast enough....
