i have a 74 beetle and I'm trying to figure out if I can install earlier pans in the car. I plan to use either aftermarket seats with their proprietary rails or perhaps use Scat seats/rails and use earlier tracks to mount those. Most of the pans I've found online have the big 74 seat hump already welded in place and i dont need it ( with the exception of the WW pans ). there's also a significant price difference Is there any difference - aside from the seat mounting between the years? in other words will 70 pans fit in a 74? thanks |

Ask the VW Parts Dealers as I'm sure it's common knowledge with them. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

You can fit any year pans, it's the seat brackets that differ. Though you can't fit late 3 point brackets to earlier pans as the shape is different around the mounts. |
