So 6 months ago I ordered 2 sets of Tail light wiring rubber boots, they been kicking around the bench and I decided to install them in my truck and my van today. Here's some of the highlights.
These pictures may be out of order, but you can figure it out. I cut the boot off with a pair of scissors. Less damage than a knife or blade.
Some of the wires had been tapped for trailer wiring and had open wound in them, I shrink wrapped all of those and then shrink wrapped the entire loom.
Those old boots were not holding and degraded. Pulling the connectors is standard business. They are now sealed up and secure the entire job per light was about 1/2 hour.
May not be the most important fix I've made but it is really nice now, hopefully the A/M boots last as long as the original sdid.

How does one pull these? |
Looking straight at the connector plastic case and at each pin you will see an open side and a closed side. On the close side insert a small thin screwdriver and push down while pulling the wire out of the plastic case. Make sure to take a picture or take note of the order of wire before taking them out. |

GoWesty has both the boots in stock and a kit with two boots and replacement terminals. I have a kit for when it gets warm enough to replace mine. _________________ '84 Westy, '93 Subaru ej22 and Subarugears 5speed
