I’ve got some of that over my workbench and it reminds me of my Dad. I saw Wallace exactly three weeks before he was shot. I also included a small sampling of oil change reminders, some are 40s and 50s. Some of the artwork and graphics were pleasing. Some are now considered politically incorrect and offensive.

Mind scanning the Castrol? Dad was very much an advocate and think be fun to make a copy to put on his Beetle. Thank you.

If find them, have a few '70s ones been meaning to scan, one was about driving slower to save fuel and another a California ballot measure regarding cable tele service. My family saved some of the strangest stuff...

You got a sticker from the Netherlands of a Kloster in Ettal, Bavaria?

They also make a great bier!

My old tool box. I should have never put these on there, because I sold the box when I upgraded.

From the looks of it, you've swallowed a lot of valves in your time.

Ive had it to occur twice and on both occasions the cars were running great when it happened. This was one of my million dollar ideas, thinking a broken off valve key chain would remind people to stay on top of adjustments. Then when I made them available people didn’t know what they were or maybe they seemed bulky. I sold one or two and gave more away.

And now since most repair shops don’t rebuild heads it’s harder to raid the trash can to harvest used valves and it never was easy to drill a hole, you need a drill press and carbide drills. Labor and materials vs. retail cost cancelled this million dollar idea 😀

"Roots Rock Reggae" show ran from 1974 to 2008, hosted by Lance Linares.
KUSP went off the air five years ago.
End of an era!
I run this sticker in memorium.

Quote:
Linares and his radio colleagues Doug Wendt in the Bay Area and Roger Steffens in Los Angeles found the field wide open. They filled their air time with music they traded among themselves: singles, LPs and cassettes of rare studio and live recordings. Reggae, dub, rocksteady, and ska were explored in depth. Because they were serious collectors there was no shortage of material. And listeners loved it.

Linares noted that the rise of KUSP was concurrent with the breakthrough of reggae in the U.S. He was receiving a steady stream of promotional albums and eventually became acquainted with concert promoters bringing reggae music to California.

In addition to Marley and the Wailers, KUSP did live broadcasts of Santa Cruz performances by Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, Gregory Issacs, The Mighty Diamonds and The Itals—about a dozen concerts total between 1978 and 1984, during what Linares called “the golden age of reggae.”

It would be great if we could start scanning some of these old stickers and sharing. I have a bunch I have collected over the years.

I ordered a bunch of vintage stickers on ebay years ago, and stuck them to sheet magnets. So I can put them on the back of the Buses from time to time, and remove them to protect from fading, etc and also not mess up the paint (or, perhaps more correctly, not lose the stickers whenever I eventually repaint?)

(This one was actually ordered printed directly on the magnet.)

Could have sworn I had another pic with a bunch of the stickers on the back of my Westy, but I can't find it.
