It cools on 110V good,
So I'm puzzled, I guess I'll clean and clean again. |
if it cools on 120v, then your system is good. your flame simply isn't putting out enough BTUs. only 3 possibly causes:
- the main jet is partially clogged. this is the most likely explanation and they can be cleaned up in isopropyl alcohol and to be super duper, put it in an ultrasonic cleaner. while a pilot jet cleaner is small enough for the orifice, you can EASILY enlarge the diameter, get super cooling out of the fridge for a while and mess things up. don't ram anything in the jet.
- lower than 11" W.C. out of your regulator... not real common.
- thermostat remaining on pilot mode. easily observable in the glass window and if regulates on 120v, it's good. _________________ -dan

Since we got our van last year, our fridge cools fine on 100v and LPG, but won't on 12v. I haven't investigated the issue too much yet but would love to get that part working before we go away in July. I did check the relay under the driver's seat at one point and it seemed to be working just fine. _________________ 1990 Vanagon Westfalia |
