What a disaster, and going by the ad and the license plate, the owner is convinced it's actually a '67.
Going by the rear apron and the lack of crescent vents (if they're not just stuffed with bondo) it's a '75 model 110 "Basic Bug" having an identity crisis. _________________ '60 Canadian Standard, '64 Bug, another '64 Bug, '66 Bug, '69 Sunroof Bug, '69 GT3 Bug, '71 Super, '72 Super, '73 Canadian Custom, '74 Love Bug, '83 Mexi Bug, '85 Cabrio, '94 Mexi Bug, '99 New Beetle, '02 New Beetle Turbo S, '03 New Beetle VR6. Mmmmyeah, not a '67. No '67 had those shock-absorber type bumper-mounts.
Looks plenty nice, clean, shiny and all that, but nowhere near worth 16K. _________________ Two Bugs-

I can tolerate wide front fenders and especially when needed for a 4x4. But when the headlights move out, is just plain odd looking. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

I wonder, is the grill/radiator there part of the ill-fitting nose-bra or has it been engine-swapped? _________________ Two Bugs-

Some people think they stopped making beetles after 1957. Some people think they stopped making buses in March 55, or August 58, or August 63, or July 67.
Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.
Do what you want. Ignore the elitists. Drive your VW. Enjoy life. |

Ah, custom airport vehicles, fascinating designs/retrofitting choices!
That bed-extension though... Needs another axle! XD _________________ Two Bugs-

That’s pretty awesome, except for the rear fenders. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far
