I think that rear view 'expression' says it all - even the car is embarrassed

What a disaster, and going by the ad and the license plate, the owner is convinced it's actually a '67.

Going by the rear apron and the lack of crescent vents (if they're not just stuffed with bondo) it's a '75 model 110 "Basic Bug" having an identity crisis.

Mmmmyeah, not a '67. No '67 had those shock-absorber type bumper-mounts.
Looks plenty nice, clean, shiny and all that, but nowhere near worth 16K. Laughing

Finish this project. 318 V8, Dana 44 axles, NP203 transfer case. Pretty much have everything needed to finish.

All you have to do is the really hard custom stuff, like a wider windshield and Top/Top Frame.

I can tolerate wide front fenders and especially when needed for a 4x4. But when the headlights move out, is just plain odd looking.

I wonder, is the grill/radiator there part of the ill-fitting nose-bra or has it been engine-swapped?

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.
Do what you want. Ignore the elitists. Drive your VW. Enjoy life.

Ah, custom airport vehicles, fascinating designs/retrofitting choices!
That bed-extension though... Needs another axle! XD

That’s pretty awesome, except for the rear fenders.
