Hey folks,
What parking/emergency brake cables are folks using on early German Type 181s?
For reference mine is a 1970, swing axle, reduction boxes and late 1950s/ early 1960s Bus backing plates.
My old cables are toast.
thanks in advance for any advice |

Parts book lists part number 181609701A. Thing Shop lists that specifically for 69-72 181s. Didn't provide the length.
73 and up (IRS) use the 133609721 cable which lists the length as 1752.6 . _________________ Walküre Restoration Thread: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=737492 |

I got mine from the UK, it is the same as the "Trekker" 182 they are longer than the once for 73 onwards and they also mount differently. Mine is a 72, GRB, swing axle. Here is a video of the rear break refurbishment I recently made.
