A super example of a hard-to-find variation.
Can we assume it runs as well? _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

The version Bandai should have done... Does anyone have a spare headlight, emblem and a semaphore to complete?

To be honest, I stopped testing the cars I buy years ago. I'm more concerned about cleaning them up and putting them on static display. So the answer is... I don't know.

With this particular model, everything can be disassembled. The chrome trim is easily removed from the backside. The trim has tabs that can be twisted with a pair of needle nose pliers to remove. I chose not to do this with this particular toy because I felt it wasn't necessary. _________________ My Beetles :

I would say yes as I have some and they look the same.
I can't remember seeing the Grey one on the far left though - I don't have that one in my tiny collection.
My red and orange ones:
I have yellow and blue too _________________ How to Post Photos

The gray one is a PN pickup, made in Germany. License plate HH KS 261.
The rest are mostly Tomte, with Irwin ovals in the right background, a Galanite, and a couple of unknown Hong Kong cars to round off the mix. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I just found about these as well. I was surprised how accurate they are. They even come with hippies!

Here’s an interesting Bandai that recently sold on ebay. This is the 10-inch bump-n-go model with clear engine lid, but also has sunroof and opening door. I have seen the large 14-inch version with those features, but never on the 10-inch. I’m sure others can comment on just how rare or not this version is.

It also has working headlights.
While tough to find, they do turn up, and generally sell for twice the price of the common Bandai in the same condition.
I've only seen this version in red. Are there other colors? _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Coca-cola buses with cases of bottles.
Tin buses.
Tin bugs.
Emergancy buses.

Those aren't the right bottles, but that's still an impressive line-up of TCO Coke buses.
I'll have to watch for that episode. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.
