Hi guys, I just purchased a 2001 EV with 156K. No reported issues from the seller. Took it to a VW Master Mechanic today for AC recharge, oil change, fuel filter changed, and had the brake fluid flushed. He inspected it said it was a good van. I drove it for an hour after picking it up. Parked it. Returned 5 minutes later, unlocked and then it wouldn't start. Radio and lights work.
The headlights will not turn off. Key Fob will not unlock or lock when pushing remote.
Warning lights are EPC light, Generator light, and engine light yellow.
See photo. Is this an Electrical issue? Anyone experience something similar, what is going on? I purchased it on Sunday and have been driving it with no issues. Thank you!

You will need a decent scanner to read off the engine codes and get guidance on the problem. Something like the launch 123 OBD reader at about $150
It’s likely the battery and charge circuit has an issue , perhaps just aged battery
Is it not starting or not cranking ? These are two different things. _________________ .ssS! |

Wondering if your key has lost its pairing with the van security system and if removing the battery ground cable then reinstalling might do a reset? |
