Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

I think I saw this at a Cars'n'Coffee a few years ago in Ventura County. It was never going to be pristine, so it went max functional, and was very popular at the event. He worked up some canvas dust shields for the passengers, IIRC. |

1973 VW convertible tribute to the rare 1952 VW Hebmuller. Tastefully done in Bahia Red. Vehicle has been meticulously rebuilt, including pan-off restoration. Engine, brakes, and suspension are either new or overhauled. All cosmetics have been restored, with an interior finished with black seats, carpets and doors, and a white headliner. Seats and carpeting highlighted in red. Includes AM FM stereo radio. Gets tons of attention wherever it goes. $20,000 or best reasonable offer. Please do not waste my time or yours with lowball offers. No texts or emails, 206 769-8839 phone calls only. |

this would be very acceptable (except for price) if only they hadn't used a 1303/super bug! _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

I don't think using a 1303 was such a bad idea, IMHO.
Although, it needs to have the windshield chopped down about half of what it is, and a new top made.
It might look pretty good if you " German Looked" it.
But, it is way more than I would pay for it.

Those are actually quite comfortable. I have one on my bobber, but it's sprung to the frame because, yes, nothing will be comfortable with no springs or suspension at all.
