What tire combo are you running on these wheels, thinking about them for my 69 square. _________________ "Dammit, every time we have a sweet idea the government has to come and screw it up"-Kyle Broflowski

I've always loved the ATS wheels and the Ronals. Had a set of the ATS wheels on a 914 that I autocrossed heavily in 2000-2002. There's a set of the ATS wheels in th classifieds for sale now that I've been drooling over.... but man, they've gotten pricey. _________________ >>Looking for any and all Vic Williams, Peoria Illinois dealership items.<< |

Anyone running the 7" wide ATS Classic wheels on your type 3? Just wondering how (if) they fit and if there was any additional suspension work needed to make them fit....
These wheels... but of course on our type 3:

Here is my ‘70 Sqb with some Firestone BRM wheels fitted. I’m looking for some original center caps if anyone has a lead 🤞.

I wonder if some sort of BRM center cap would work, or maybe an adapter to fit? Just throwing out an idea. I've got some vintage Cragar center caps on my Superior 36 spoke Shelby rims. When I got the rims they didn't come with center caps, and I ran them for years without until I found the Cragar caps fit almost perfectly. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I do have one OG cap but it has no detail on it. I will post up a pic as I don’t think it is the same as other BRM caps. _________________ 1962 Gulf Blue Patina Deluxe Beetle

Buscowboy, I've been in the VW hobby for decades, looking thru Dune Buggies & Hot VWs magazine since the early '70's when my dad brought them home from the office. I don't think I ever saw a set of rims like yours shown or advertised there!
Some Morgans have the VW 4-lug bolt pattern; in fact I remember seeing some (Plus 4, Plus 8?) that had silver-painted VW hubcap style 4-bolt steel wheels. Might a Morgan restoration wheel supplier in your country have the center caps? |

Thanks for the input, I will definitely look up some old Morgan wheel options and see what I can find.👍 _________________ 1962 Gulf Blue Patina Deluxe Beetle

Yup, that's the thing about "odd ball" rims, finding center caps that fit. It's one of those deals where you start looking outside of the box to find what you need. Like Rome said above, I've never seen your rims before (in mags or in person).
Since you have a sample, maybe talk to a machinist about making some copies out of aluminum. You wouldn't be the first to do so on here. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
