Which direction is "no heat"? Bottom of the lever forward or toward the motor? _________________ Lord, give me coffee to change the things I can change, and wine to accept the things I can't change. |

Pretty sure it is the forward location of the valve access "hole" in the cabinet, pushing it back lets the flow through. I have to dig in my back seat box later today, my PO wrote the directions on the top of the cover... If I find I have mislead you, I will edit this. _________________ '87 Westy 'Flossie','86 Westy 'R1','86 tintop GL - Subi2.2 'J2','83.5 stock tintop L 'ZoomBus','74 Karmann Ghia, '63 Notch |

Bobbyblack may be correct but my memory says the opposite. _________________ 1986 Westfalia Vanagon, 2.2 Subaru

Thanks for checking. I'd do the obvious thing, run the engine, turn on the blower, and be enlightened. At the moment, our Westy's grounded while I do some "getting ready for the next road trip" projects. _________________ Lord, give me coffee to change the things I can change, and wine to accept the things I can't change. |

I'm no help since I switched over to the GoWesty Valve version and never turn off the Rear Heater Core coolant flow. I could, probably should,,,, but I don't..... _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....
