Hey y'all.

Our '79 Fuel Injected car has a rough throttle and given the age and relatively inexpensive parts, I figured I may as well just replace the lot.

I have a new cable, a pedal rebuild kit, as well as a bowden tube for the engine bay.

However, all the guides I'm seeing are for carbed cars -- I'm sure the front portions of the cable are the same, but where the cable comes through the fan shroud and connects to the throttle body appear different on my car.

Are there any guides for performing this service on a late fuel injected car?

Thanks.

Have you checked the service manual?

I'm fairly sure it's covered in the Bentley, if not it's not much different than a carb, adjust the cable for 1mm gap from the WOT stop on the throttle body when the pedal is mashed hard to the floor.

If it's still sticking closed afterwards you may have to find a better used throttle body, they get sticky when worn badly.
