Volkswagen Camper & Commercial (UK mag)
'The RAW Look/1952 Samba'
Issue 10
Spring 2003
Can you post up a pic of the other ones you have? Or your whole collection?
You'd have been about 8 in 2003;)? _________________ -StockRocks- |

Oldest magazine article? 2 November 1949. They call it a "Lieferwagen" or "delivery van" at the time since the model name had not yet been determined. So everyone that gets scolded for calling a VW Bus a VW Van, they are technically correct

omnibus in German is used as stated above.
Wanted to add that the word is originally Latin ( old Roman) and means 'to all' 'with all' ' all together'
glad I had Latin education in highschool. makes you understand a lot of languages quicker. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !

These prototype articles are just sick.
I can't believe no-one's posted the July '55 Popular Mechanics yet...

"The VW is not just a car. It's a disease. And a contagious one at that!"
That's a good start for an article! |
