What oil do you guys recommend using in a stock 73 rail buggy 1600 dual port? I 've been told to use straight 30w, but some say to use a much thicker oil like 20w50. Just light pasture and slow trail riding. I do have a remote filter.

I use Rotella 10 ~ 30. Run what you want as long as it has zinc in it.

For your location either of the ones you listed will be fine for summertime. I personally use Valvoline 20W-50 High Zinc Racing Oil. I’m also going to try the new Castrol formula they just released called Castrol Classics that has high zinc as well. Smile

+ 3 on zinc ! it is missing in most motor oils. a must have for flat tappet engines in my opinion. I use valvoline mostly because it is easy to find most anywhere.
