Hi,

The rear tires on my vanagon are uneven wear. See :

Passager side :

And

Diver side :

See, strangely the number that help following the remaining tire life of each tire reveal an uneven wear - on the passager side the « 5 » and the « 1 » have disappeared, instead of the driver side where only the « 1 » have started to disappear.

What could be the reason why the passager side get wear out faster ?

Thanks !

Have your alignment checked. Toe or Camber could be off due to worn parts or bent parts( potholes take their toll on every vehicle)

I might be there, to see the alignment, some streets within Montréal are pretty bad after the winter...

Thanks

It seems strange to me that the number « 5 » have already disappeared on the passager side tire, instead of the 2 or the 3...!

My understanding of these numbers was that they start to disappear first the number « 1 », then the number « 2 »... until the « 5 », which indicated the end of the tire life ?!

you have it backwards and there is no (1)

the numbers is tread left in increments. 5/32 4/32 3/32

but heck I don't like how flat and 'treadless' your tires look anyways.. seems they'd be slick in too many circumstances.
