Volkswagen Transporter 1988 1.9 Petrol 4 speed gearbox
Just a small problem I hope. When I select reverse the reversing lights don’t come on unless I move the gear stick back a fraction to far and it jumps out of gear. Is this a setting up problem or dose the Shift rod need replacing.

| Could be. I would start with the simplest and cheapest thing first. Take a look at your reverse switch. Maybe it's backed out a little or maybe it just needs to be replaced. I believe it's less than 3 quid at Brickwerks. 60 second job to replace once you're under. |
