In the process of rigging up a new horn, we found this under the dash. And we have no idea what it is.

Holly crap it's a bomb trigger. Not really. What's on the other side, a screw, nut, a tube?

It is a light that shies on the gear shift and heater controls...test it after dark with light on.

Looks like a pressure relief valve like you see on an air compressor or a nitrous oxide bottle!

I agree. This is for a standard Beetle, correct? Super Beetles had these installed on the dash. If you need a new bulb, the style number is 2721.
