plug gap and timing?

i read somewhere sometime back that plug gap could affect timing or maybe it was talking about dwell?
anyhow, im actually working on a small engine and wondered if plug gap could vary the timing any?

No ,I would not worry about it .
It will not effect anything you will notice
Run the gap at factory give or take a few .001’s regardless of ignition
Brand . Your cap and rotor will last longer

Dwell is a measure of how many degrees the points are closed. Dwell can be measured on a distributor without even having spark plugs or ignition wires attached.
