| I’m seeing Bosch platinum tips for $11-$12 each and then NGK and Denso platinum tip sets of six for $20 or less. Any reason not to use the NGK or Denso? |

I have been using the NGK iridium BPR5EIX in my 95 and they have been fine. I am a biker (hence NGK) and have had good results with the iridium plugs on bikes so it was an easy choice.

That is because they are FAKE NGKs. It is the most counterfeited autopart on the web.
Real NGKs are closer to $15 each.
I use NGKs in everything I own.

I just checked Advance Auto Parts online and they list the NGK Platinum for $4.39 each. That said, I googled fake NGK plugs and will be looking at the ones I received from Amazon tomorrow. |
