That one there is July 1970 - plastic one. I believe the cardboard ones go up to 66/76?? I sure have a few of the early ones.

Ahhhh! I was just lazy! according to MY type 3 bible, it states 8-67/8-69. Probably for a L50 Regatta Blue car as it is darker than diamond blue. I have the matching inner door handle cups. I have a few blue, and many of the early cardboard ones in black, and gray, tall and short version.

If it's through the 1969 model year, it might not be for a Regatta Blue car - since that color was only offered for 1968. Maybe for a Diamond Blue car with the Blue interior? I don't really know either way, though, except that my Regatta Blue 68 Square (which seems to be almost all correct/original, at least in the black vinyl interior) doesn't have that piece (at all) or the blue door lever inserts.

There I go being lazy again . You are right. It may be correct for Diamond Blue. Cool none the less.

I posted this to the Vintage Volkswagen Club on FB - and the intent and or purpose so far seems to be lost on them. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Several years back I was fortunate enough to buy an original John Barry sculpture while the market was down. I learned later that it was an even rarer 343 version than the more well known 313 version. Now I may sell as the prices have gone into the six figure range. 😎🤙🌺🤣

Are the 311's worth anything? They look similar to the 343 versions, but come in both right and left versions (pairs).

So I got this rotted out sunroof Squareback for $225 and it’s loaded with some accessories. First it’s got bumper guards, not super rare though. Then it has some wood interior panels, was that an accessory as they look too nice to be home made, no pics of them though. Then it has H4 headlights that are trashed. Formula-vee shift knob. And then the big stuff, the camping hinges to make the back seat fold down flat Shocked I have been wanting a set of these and I didn’t even realize the car had them when I got it

Then I’m looking for some information on this. It looks to have a sway bar kit on it. Looks like it’s in pretty good shape. Anyone seen something like this? It’s front and rear. Front first pics

They ran a board across to hold up the transmission.

Did it make a difference in handling and would it be worth installing on the front and rear?
