I'm looking for a rear profile of a stock Ghia without bumpers. Car is a 61 so I think any early 60s will do. i know I've seen the exact picture I need before looking at restoration threads, but now that I need that one specific I cant seem to find it.
The body work on my car is being done and i went to look at it earlier today and the rear lower quarter panel is looking rather square as opposed to the nice profile it has.
Thank you guys very much in advanced. |

yes, that helps the front to back on banging the one somewhat into shape. that's a nice replacement panel. i wished i had seen it before buying the regular ones

that rear shot is the one that helped show the contour. when lining up the panel, the side profile it lined up almost straight down.
Spent some time this weekend cutting, heating, banging, squeezing the metal. even with the kink we put on it looks way better. ill take a pic tomorrow.
Thank you guys. |

That might be your problem. The aftermarket lower rear fender panels are for 67-71 cars, which have a different shape. The shape of the lower rear fender changed in 67, as did the length of the rear bumper.
You can see the pic of my car, where I didn't strip the driver's side lower rear to bare metal, because it was all bondo. I found a clean replacement from a 64 donor car. _________________ Currently own:

I had the same problem with my 1960. I had to make and shape the metal using the replacement panels for later years. It is a bit of work but not to bad. _________________ 1958 Beetle
