I'll second the opinion:
You will be in great hands with Andrew at his shop.
Extremely knowledgeable, and a fantastic guy.
I don't think you could find better.
He will tell you like it is! No BS.

Save the tow amd drive it.

with a water pump pulley listing 20* no fucking way would i drive it that far. every revolution of that pump is shredding the internals and pumping glitter into the cooling system.

that belt is going to launch and it's game over.

seriously, get it towed

Upvote for use of the glitter word.
Wasn't there a NYCity guy Dennis Haynes? Is he still around? Very capable fella.
I would not risk more than a couple miles.

Watch your battery warning light as well. When the water pump breaks, the belt will get loose, and it's also the belt to the alternator. So an alternator wanting light will mean that your engine is no longer cooled. 20 seconds to park and stop the engine.

This is interesting and it makes sense.

I clicked the switch on the camper battery meter that's attached to the stove. I'm not sure how accurate it is. It used to show yellow all the time. Now it's vacillating between yellow and red.

I wonder if this as something to do with the pump failure.

Regardless it's getting towed up to Andrew In Albany today. I want to avoid any catastrophic failures at all cost.

Maybe, maybe not. Theres so many different ways to hook up an auxiliary battery, including not having one at all, that that light can mean different things.

Pay attention to the light on you dash.

Good move taking it to Andrew. I’ve never met him but he seems to be a genius.
