Looking really nice!
Did the epoxy have an open time for recoating it? Sometimes they cure so hard that any additional coats past the cure point will not adhere. Sometimes all you need to do is hit it with a red scotch brite pad, sometimes something else.
Looks great! |
all went good,
I did scotch brite with 3m red and 3m grey after I have let it cure for about a week.
I followed advise from a long time painter and this morning I epoxy sealed the surface with the maximum of tin recommended by the brand, let it dry for 45 min, and after that I applied the single stage paint as follow:
- 1 very small coat let it flash for about 5-10min.
- apply the real 1st coat of paint
- wait 5-10 min and applied to final coat of paint
- DONE
I will see tomorrow when everything is fully dry and check to remove the masking tape to be ready for the outside.
crossing the finger that cure won't make things bad, but I am confident _________________ My 59 low light ghia: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=452128

yes but this one came out from a porsche it has the correct steering spline for VW.
BMW had different splines |
Doesnīt matter what it came out of . Itīs a BMW steering wheel.
It has nothing to do with VW or Porsche even if some years 501/502 steering wheels do fit. Still a BMW steering wheel.. |
