I just finished a rebuild on my 28PCI carb and when finished I have an extra metal washer. It is the same exact washer that is used for the Needle Valve. All other washers and parts are put together correct so I don't know why I have this extra one. Could it be that they just gave me a spare somehow? I don't know of anywhere else it would go. The only other part comparable is the Main Jet and Holder washer. But that one isn't metal.

This is my first rebuild so I am just making sure it is correct.

Thoughts?

artist to Artist, reply :

… we have that washer left over too - then, re check my work like you did - then, I just save it - never thought of asking anyone why...

… Just posed your question to my parts-supplier = Eric at Bughaus in Tulsa - this was his reply >" I believe it's so you can space the needle valve a little higher which is common when using ethanol as it runs leaner." - he's the best - z
