I am in the market for another set of 145/80R15 front & 165/80R15 rear tires for my 1971 Super Beetle. Since COVID-19 hit, all vendors of the Nankang CX668 tire have been sold out. Does any one on this form know:
1. Has this tire been discontinued?
2. Or is this a case where demand has been outstripping supply?
I have a feeling it is the latter, as Coker tire is sold out of all 145SR15 and 165SR15 tires as well (they offer both Firestone and Michelin reproduction in these sizes). Any insight is appreciated!
