Hi there.

I'm Oswald, a 65 sea blue 1200 Export. According to the Volkswagen Archive I was built May 28, 1965 and a few days later delivered to Grand Rapids/MI.

From there on there's not much further history, the last traces are a 2014 California license plate and a title from Shasta Lake, 96019, expiring 2011. 2012 I came back to Germany. Stefan, my current owner, upgraded me to 12V, fixed my brakes, donated me a 1968 Blaupunkt Radio equipped with 21st century electronics inside and since then drives me quite often...

At the moment I'm redoing the door panels (scraping of glued straw-mats and lining them with 60s furniture fabric) and upgrading my wiring, replacing brittle wires and upgrading to relais in a few places.

Next stop: Front disc brakes and about 60-80 HP. That ought to do it.
